I have failed.
I couldn't do the $100 this month.
I really tried and could have made it, but Harris Teeter had their Super Doubles again. For those of you who don't know what that means, they would double up to $1.98. If I have a $1.50 coupon, they would take $3.00 off. I was drawn by the good deals. That is honestly putting it lightly. I am obsessed about getting the best deals I can. When I teach my coupon classes, I tell people to stock up when there is a good deal and that is exactly what I did; with spending as little money as possible. I went to HT several times so I will list the totals separately so you can see how well I did despite failing at my overall goal.
Harris Teeter Trip 1:
OOP (out of pocket): $3.78
total saved: $25.99
HT Trip 2:
OOP: $.27 - yes, that is 27 cents!
Saved: $16.12
HT Trip 3:
OOP: $29.14
Saved: $85.79
Kroger Trip 1:
OOP: $2.49
Saved: $40.51
Kroger Trip 2:
David only bought cereal on this trip. It was part of a buy 10, get $5 off your order. PLUS, all the cereals have $5 in coupons inside which I used to get free stuff at HT. I really came out ahead dispite having to spend $20.
OOP: $20.40
Saved: 14.75
Total for week OOP: $56.08
Total this week saved: $183.16
Total savings of 70%!
Last week balance: $58.56
Amount for the rest of month: $2.48
I can tell you that I have gone over already. I had to buy snack for Ethan's Kindergarten class which was $9. Plus, I hit Harris Teeter again. I will give final totals next week.

I think we need one of those Harris Teeter stores here. The coupons I get here don't really help out too much, but if someone were to double them. . . hmmm. . .
Do you tell your secrets? Where do you get all these said coupons?!
I get my coupons from the Sunday paper, off the internet, in magazines, inside cereal boxes,Smart source blinkies, etc. Just keep your eye out for them.
