I love so many things about this time of year. I love the smells, the lack of humidity, the excitement of the impending holidays and being able to buy LOTS of candy without getting weird looks.
My favorite things about Autumn:
I love the beautiful colors of the Fall. I love the crunch of the leaves beneath my feet when we go hiking. I love to be able to camp this time of year to enjoy these colors.
I love to bake, especially in the fall. (okay, and also in the winter. But the itch beings in the fall.) Apple Pie is my absolute favorite pie of the fall.
I love preparing for Halloween and the excitement my children have about visiting the Pumpkin patches. Okay, David and I love it too!
But, with all this love, this is one thing that becomes the bane of my existance this time of year. It's not the runny noses, or the days becoming shorter, it's . . .
SORTING SOCKS! Why can't I ever find all the matches? In fact, I still have a pile of separated socks next to my dresser that were orphoned last year. Maybe their match will show up one day, but I'm not counting on it!

ha ha ha ha ha!!!! true and funny!
If you connect the socks with safety pins before you wash them, they will be easier to identify. Or, when you buy them, label the bottoms of them with letters so you'll know which goes with which (just use different colors for everybody).
