This is a post in response to Erin Jordan asking Paige via email if she found any other snakes in our yard:
We seem to have a plethora of snakes this year in our yard. I was mowing last week and found this one trying to strike the lawn mower. When I left to find something to put it in for Paige,(I really just wanted to get something to poke it with to see if it would continue to stike!) it disappeared. (Actually, I wasn't going to save it because I have no idea how to move it into a container without freaking out which would probably result in me wetting myself.) I'm not one to go looking for snakes, so, it's probably still in one of our bushes. It makes to sad to think this is the reason we haven't had so many frogs this year.

Wow, what a pretty garter snake! Your snakes are way cooler looking than ours...we just usually get the all black ones. Tell Paige she's a lucky girl!
