We needed something to do inside that would keep the kids away from technology for a while so I choose my favorite thing to do with them; bake. I found my Mouse Cookie Cookbook and decide to try a new recipe. Not only was it fun for the kids to make, but it was easy and they tasted good too!

Lily's M&M Crunchies
36 cookies - 350 degrees

1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup M&M's

1. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

2. In a bowl, mash together butter, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add egg. Mix in flour mixture. Stir Rice Krispies and M&M's.

3. Drop dough by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
