A new challenge


I have blogged several times of how I love to cook and to try different recipes. The problem I have developed is the stale list of ingredients I use. SO, I am challenging myself to pick up a different/new ingredient from the store to cook with each week. (Honestly, it may not be each week. But I'll do the best I can.) The only requirement I have is that I have never used the ingredient before. Pretty simple, huh?

I will blog about what I bought and how I prepared the item. I am just going to forewarn you, my faithful reading few, that you will be shocked over some of the ingredients I have never bought nor prepared.

The first ingredient to the "open my mind up to the great versatile world of food" challenge is: SWISS CHEESE! I know, I know. Not earth shattering, but the shock will increase, I promise you! Suggestions are happily received, but don't get crazy.

So proud of you! Does the new ingredient need to be purchased with a coupon or are you REALLY going to walk on the wild side and pay full price?

Chicken cordon bleu -- ham and swiss cheese wrapped in a chicken breast. After I roll it up I dip mine in an egg and then crushed french fried onions. It is a regular in our house. Good luck!
