Rocky Mount Children's Museum

David has this entire week off from work. On Monday, David took the kids to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (since I had strep and then Bronchitis, I stayed home). And yesterday, we all went to see Astroboy. Today, we decided to go someplace new. So, we went to Rocky Mount Children's Museum. It is located in an old Tobacco Mill built in 1903. (notice our children running around in the pictures below? This is usually done inside the museums. Since we were literally the only family there, the staff would constantly tell us to keep our kids right with us. Get real people. It's a kids museum! Lighten up!!!!)

The museum, as a whole didn't excite my children too much but it was a way to pass the day. It only cost $4 for adults and $3 for the kids. The main exhibits were about Africa while a little section was about animal life in NC. Just FYI, if you are planning on going, there is a really inexpensive cafe in the building with the museum as well as an art museum and a planetarium. The highlight was David and I buying 2 new pieces for our pottery collection.

Ethan has really, um, what's the proper word to say?, blossomed over track out. He doesn't stop talking, making weird noices or just moving all over the place. Love the pose here!

Enlarged for your viewing pleasure!
