I love to bake. I always try to have some sort of baked good for my DH and kids to eat at breakfast time. A family favorite is coffee cake. I usually make the Jiffy Mix recipe that is located on the side of their box. But, seeing as their prices have gone up and they never offer coupons, I've stopped buying their product. Well, what to do when you want to make coffee cake?
IMPROVISE!
In my pantry I have boxes and boxes of Hungry Jack pancake mix. (They always have coupons and with sales I either get them free or less than $.50.) So, in goes the pancake mix instead of Jiffy. It tastes wonderful, moist, and oh, so, CHEAP!
