Another Jodi Picoult Book

I just finished Jodi Picoult's book, "Perfect Match." I was not as impressed with it as I was "My Sister's Keeper." In fact, when David asked me last night how I would rate it, I gave it a C. Jodi gets to the point of the book very early on and seems as if she is trying to fill the rest of the novel. I didn't get emotionally attached to these characters like I was able to in the other story, although being a mother of young children makes me apprehensive of the legal system and the way sexual abuse trials are dealt with. The story seemed to drag on and I was eager for the end to come. On the last page, there was a big surprise/ twist, but it wasn't worth spending the time to get to that point. I don't think I'll be reading another one of her novels. There is too much language and sexual content for my taste.

I agree with you. My favorite books by her are My Sister's Keeper, 19 Minutes, The Pact, and Plain Truth. If you read any of those, I'd love to know what you think!
